I have severe allergies and had to get nasal surgery due to Sinusitis. I had to remove the polyps that had formed and completely block my entire sinus cavity after years of sinus infections. I also had to have my tubulars shaved down and my deviated septum repaired. It was all covered by insurance but it wasn't fun. It was out patient surgery but I was home for a week with tubs up my nose. My sense of smell is now only at about 75% of what it once was...sometimes you lose more so I was lucky. It has helped a lot as I am now able to breath through my nose again but I still suffer from really bad allergies and now have to work very hard to keep them in check or else I will develop polyps all over again and have to have the surgery again. One of the things that I do is the neti pot salt sinus rinse, I've put salt lamps in my house, on occasion I boil water to reduce dryness in my house, also sometime carry and use the Ocean rinse in my purse, regular allergy medication and decongestants are also helpful. I am hoping that at sometime in the future to try some of the new allergy treatments that are suppose to cure your allergies: i.e. laser treatment, shots, etc. One thing is for sure go to an allergist (not a regular Dr.). It is something that you shouldn't ignore and get treated or it can lead to other health problems in the long run. Believe me, I know.

You can try a number of over the counter remedies that may help. Visit the chemist and ask, they will know whats best.
I use piriton on and a nasal spray called beclometasone.
Your best bet is to try and find out what you are allergic or intolerant to. You will need to keep a diary of what you do and how you feel. It's just a matter of looking for a pattern.
what i do is go out side and get some fresh air, all the warm dry air inside is your problem in the winter time for warmer days ( AROUND 50 DEGREES)
