Tell your doctor, things can be done about the constipation and bloating and possible water weight gain. As far as some of the weight goes, count your calories. Medication like this can increase your appetite, but you don't have to give in to it and eat more. So watch your eating habits closely and keep them controlled.

Have you discussed these side effects with your doctor and ruled out that the cons outweigh the pros? I was on Gabapentin for migraines. The only side effect I really had was memory loss but it got so bad I seriously thought I was going crazy. Plus it didn't even help with the migraines. My dad is on it because of nerve damage from shingles. It at first gave him stomach problems but his body got used to the dosage.

See if there is something else you can take. You didn't say why you are taking it, and there are alot of different diagnoses it is used for, so I can't really suggest an alternative. It is really important you talk to your doctor though because this isn't a good way to live. You've successfully been treated for cancer and want to live your life, not be depressed and feel ill. Good luck.
