It's difficult to know without a blood sugar test. It's easier to differentiate urinary tract infections from diabetes because, in a person with a UTI, there will be a strong urge to go, but usually a lot won't come out. (Also, there's often pain.) In a person with diabetes, each urination will be a full urination with no pain.
With OAB, people sometimes feel an urge to go when there's not very much in bladder. So, if you are going eight or more times a day sometimes with very little urine coming out, and you have no pain, you might have OAB.
