Help! My Helix Piercing Is Infected?!?!

Question: Help! My Helix Piercing Is Infected?!?
Hi this is about my helix piercing. I've been stressed out that it might be infected. They're about a week old now, they don't hurt as much and they're still a little red. I know my left one has been yanked on quite a bit (by accident) and it's a little bit behind the healin process. But is it okay/normal for them to be able to move around? Not twist the ring around but they can bend up and down like a see-saw. O_o nervouse plz help??

It doesn't sound as if your piercing is infected, it sounds as if it has been touched a little too often which may be why it has a little wiggle room. No touching except for cleaning.

I'm sure you have the Do's and Don'ts for getting a piercing. You know not to play with it and to only touch it when you are cleaning.

You know to use saline solution (saly water) to coat the piercing using a cotton ball to help remove any crusting.
You can use Vitamin B complex and zinc to speed the healing process.
Change your pillow cases every day if possible.
Don't turn the ring for a couple of weeks and then only to clean it with lavender oil to penetrate the piercing.
Don't use tea trea oil or betadine or alcohol because they are too astringent and can create scar tissue.
No phone to that ear.
No hairspray or gel or mousse.
Use common sense

You are right to be concerned but since it can take a few weeks to heal, just be patient.
