Why do I have a squeezing sensation in the middle of my chest?!
Question: Why do I have a squeezing sensation in the middle of my chest?
I sometime feel a squeezing sensation in the middle of my chest, it might be happening to me more often after eating, but am not sure.
I don't know if this might be related but I have a (borderline high) total cholesterol of 230 and myxomatous degeneration of the mitral and tricuspid valves, I get heart palpitations sometimes but cardiologist said this is nothing to worry about.
So what is the cause of the squeezing and pressure sensations in the middle of my chest...do you think it might be a digestive problem like GERD?
PS: Am 29 years old, and I don't smoke.

Answers:
it might be a digestive problem. you'll need an upper GI series to diagnose it
