Question: I am So Freaking Sick?

I've had this horrible illness for a little while now. I went to the doctor. I guess it is some sort of flu. But my nose and throat hurt like crap. He prescribed me amoxicillin twice a day ( which I have to break apart because I CAN NOT swallow pills) and loratadine once a day. What Im wondering is: Is there there like a painkiller I can take like Ibuprofen or some sort of throat spray to help. Is it ok to mix that with the Prescription medicine?

I think it is ok to mix medication that you buy in the store with prescribed medication but it usually says on the box. I am like you and cant swallow pills :) i have heard about a spray that numbs your throat but i cant remember the name of it which defeats the object really :/ get well soon :)

Yeah, you can buy OTC sore throat sprays that numb your throat, it is found with the cough syrups and it looks like a small spray bottle & comes in several flavors. I avoid the green one it tastes bad.

im sure its fine to mix with the prescription. especially the throat spray. call your doctor and ask him.
