Anyone know anything about armpit rashes?!

Question: Anyone know anything about armpit rashes?
So I have this irritation in my armpits, and it comes frequently. I thought it was my deodorant, but I stopped using it and went to a different one. The one I am using now is same brand as the old one, just a different scent, and the rash is still occuring. (So, I don't know if its the deodorant or laundry detergent) At first, I was putting neosporin on it (I didn't know what else to do) and it didn't do anything. I had some triamcinalone cream and I used that on it and it cleared in a few days. I used it every time the irritation would show up again. I am now out of the cream, and I don't know what I could use as a substitute. I am going to go to the store to buy some hydrocortizone cream, someone told me that it would work well also. But if anyone else has some suggestions, that would help. I also heard that I should put vitamin D on it, and aloe vera. But like I said, if anyone knows any creams that would help that would be appreciated since triamcinalone is a prescription drug, and I cant get it at the store.

I would stop using the deoderant, and see if the rash goes away after that. I'm guessing it might be your doederant, there might be something in that brand that just doesn't go well with your skin. If the rash doesn't clear up, when you stop using the deoderant it just might be your laundry detergent.

If it's either of those, try switching to something more gentle. I hear those natural deoderant and detergent is really good. Try to get a deoderant that is unscented. Have you ever heard of the salt deoderant? It's a stone that you wet, then rub on your under arms, apparently it's suppose to be really good.

Unscented things are always good for people with sensitive, irritated skin. Even if it is not your deoderant, I wouldn't apply any on my under arm while I have a rash, it could bother it even more, just keep the area clean, so it doesn't get more irritated.

Sorry if this doesn't exactly help, it's all the advice I can give, seeing as I haven't had any reaction under my arms before due to deoderant or detergent.

Best of luck! If anything, you could go to the doctors or a dermatologist, and ask them about the rash. I'm assuming for sure, they would know.

The triamcinolone is too strong for ongoing use in the armpits anyway. Causes of rashes in the armpits can be allergic reactions, irritant reactions, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, erythrasma and others. The hydrocortisone is safe enough for the armpit. If it doesn't work see the dermatologist for a diagnosis and treatment.
