Pneumonia and stage 4 lung cancer..?!

Question: Pneumonia and stage 4 lung cancer..?
My step-grandpa was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer back in October...He's been doing chemotherapy. He's not doing so well, put I pray that he gets better, and that the cancer goes away everyday... I like to have hope, and not face reality. I haven't really talked to him since he's been diagnosed, but he's such a huge part of my life. He's not the same as he once was.. :(. Anyway, he is in the hospital as of two days with pneumonia... I am assuming this is not good... Could anyone give me more information of what to expect? :/

Answers:

It is not good and you need to be spending as much time as possible with him so that you have no regrets about this if the outcome is bad. It might be possible the antibiotics can cure the pneumonia but in his weakened state, it may take longer than normal. Or, in his weakened state, he may go downhill and die. No one can tell you what is going to happen. You just need to be there as much as you can, otherwise, you will have lots of regrets that you didn't. If you haven't talked to him since October, he obviously isn't as big a part of your life as you state. You still have time to change this.

My mother's co-workers's husband just died of the exact same stuff. They told him he didnt have much longer to live and made him make his will. They said maybe a day or two and he ended up making it two weeks then passed away. Maybe a miracle will happen and he'll make a remarkable recovery. Keep praying never give up!

He does not have much longer likely less than 1 month. Spend time with him now. You might not get another chance to have quality visiting time with him. Go today and see him. He could slip into a coma any time or just die without any notice. Take him his favorite movie or something like that and go see him.

you should face the fact that he will die sooner than later.
