Can you die if your heart rate is through the roof? ?!

Question: Can you die if your heart rate is through the roof? ?
My boyfriend and I had this enormous fight tonight... He has bronchitis and has not ben able to breathe well this past week. The doctor said to keep calm and relax this weekend, but he and I got in a heated argument about our personal belongings so now he's telling me he can't breathe over a text. :((

Answers:

you dont want to push your heart over 200 bpm. (beats per minute). average resting heart rate is 55-100 bpm. anything over that is tachycardia. full out running should not increase your bpm past 200 in a healthy person.

If your heart rate is in an extremely fast rhythm for a long, extended period of time, it could lead to an arrhythmia (abnormal rhythm). Such as rapid, premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, etc. If his doctor has specifically told him to keep his stress level down and stay calm for a few days, then perhaps arguing over petty things -- getting him worked up -- isn't the smartest thing, when his health is at stake. Just put your anger and fury aside for awhile at least until he's better. Stress always leads to high blood pressure, and high blood pressure causes all kinds of problems. Which you both don't need.

Yes, haven't you ever heard of an overweight person exercising hard and having a heart attack as a result of an increased heart rate? What about people who become so shocked with good or bad news that their heart rate goes through the roof too quickly and they have a heart attack or stroke?

The exact cause is a rupture or spasm in a coronary artery as a result of sudden stress on the heart.

What exactly is the question, the heart rate or the bronchitis. If you have a heart rate over 100 you should call 911. Or at least call your doctor. And if he can't breath, he needs to go to emergency.

Man you are pretty, what man would want to waste his time arguing with you when he could making love, cuddling, hanging out, etc this is shame!

So are you beautiful and bitchy or is it his fault?
