Will it still be effective if I'll changed the time in taking my medicine?!

Question: Will it still be effective if I'll changed the time in taking my medicine?
1 tablet twice a day, as prescribed.

Just today, I took my medicine 1:00 pm then later at 6:00pm, I want to change it to 6:00am (first tablet) tomorrow and 6:00pm (second tablet). Will it still be effective? or just stick to the time when I first took the medicine?

It's my first time to take a prescribe medicine, forgot to ask my doctor. :)

BTW, I'm taking CIPRO...

Many thanks. :)

Answers:

You can easily change the time you're taking your Cipro, just make certain to take it twice a day and to take the full prescription. When a medication is written to be taken twice a day you can choose the times but it is best to take it as close to twelve hours apart as possible to keep the medication level even in your bloodstream.

The idea with all those meds is not to let the concentration in your body dip too low. In this case, you want to be sure you kill the bacteria without giving them a chance to adapt.

12 hours apart would be preferable, but there's a large amount of leeway.

As long as you take it twice a day as ordered, it doesn't make a bit of difference. You can change your dosage times without any problem at all.

Twice a day, every 12 hours would be perfect. Try to stick to it though.
