If I take my blood pressure 3 times...it goes down as I sit quietly, which readi!

Question: If I take my blood pressure 3 times...it goes down as I sit quietly, which reading is most accurate?
Would hormone fluctuations cause it to go up slightly? It seems that once a month my hormones still rage during menopause

Answers:

Readings taken while you are relaxed and at rest are the most reliable. Readings taken while you are nervous, engaged in exercise or other activity, etc., tend to be artificially elevated and can be nearly ignored unless they are truly sky-high. If the resting BP is still elevated, you might want to ask your doctor about it.

Hormones can directly and indirectly raise or lower BP. However, if you find that your BP is consistently elevated even when you are at rest, you really should ask your doctor about it.

The reading as you sit quietly is the most accurate.
The stress that hormone fluctuations in menopause cause could cause a slight increase, yes.

PS you posted as Paul with menopausal symptoms??????????????
Males do not have hormonal menopause.

My blood pressure machine does an average of the last three blood pressure readings. Blood pressure can fluctuate normally.
