Question: Have a 4 mm kidney stone...really scared.?

Yesterday I noticed my urine was bloody and went to the doc and he sent me in for a CTscan and it showed a 4mm kidney stone. he sent me home and said to wait on it to pass. Well I'm extremely scared...I have bad anxiety and thats not helping. Can someone tell me what to expect or about how long its going to be before I start hurting really bad? I live 3 blocks from the hospital so I know I can get there fairly quicly and put on pain killers but I'm still really scared bc I have no idea what to expect.

From my understanding they have stuff that you can take to remove the stones, if all else fails they have to put you under and brake up the stones so that you can pass them. You need to drink lost of water 64 oz. a day and leave the sodas alone that is if you do ot want that to happen again. As for drinking that large amount of water it is hard to do at first but as time goes by it is very easy for me to do. One important point finish drinking before 7 PM otherwise you will visit the bathroom a lot during the night.
