That's an old one often told, but drinking actually has no effect on antibiotics.
It doesn't make them stop working it just can make the effects of alcohol stronger like you might get extra drowsy or dizzy. However if you are on the antibiotic Flagyl (metronidazole) you CANNOT drink alcohol because it will make you very sick
