Bronchitis? Pneumonia? Strange Cough....?!

Question: Bronchitis? Pneumonia? Strange Cough....?
I have been sick for about 2 weeks now. It started off as a "cold" with sinus congestion, sore throat, slight cough, low grade fever etc. My sinuses and head started feeling better about a week ago but my body aches continued. My cough started getting worse. I went to the doctor and was prescribed a z-pack because they thought it was due to a bacterial infection. I also received a cough syrup. I have taken all the medication and it has not really helped. I now have a bad headache, wheezing, a lot of mucus that won't come up but I can feel "rattling" around in my chest, fatigue and just a general overall blah feeling. It hurts to breathe, it feels like a prickly sharp pain in my lungs and my ribs are bruised I think from coughing so much. Should I just wait till Monday to call my doctor or should I go to Urgent Care? I don't think this warrants an ER visit, but I am short of breath and if I take a deep breath I just start coughing.

Answers:

Sounds like a bad chest infection / pneumonia
I suggest seeing the out of hours GP service now and not leaving it till Monday.
YOu mentioned you are having trouble breathing so that counts as urgent in my opinion.
