First he needs to see an allergist and get on shots and medication. Then, he needs to talk to the allergist about a medication called Xolair. It is an injection given once every 3 weeks. You get the injection, stay for 3 hours to watch for a reaction. What this injection does is bring down his IGE levels. However. he must have very high levels. I have levels of 1600. A regular person with allergies has less than 100. The bad part is, insurance won't cover it half the time. They have a program that they pay for the injections for the first year, and fight with the insurance all the while. You have to have less than 60,000 a year income. It's said this injection takes your IGE down so low in the first 6 months, you can be normal again. You do have to be on that and allergy shots the rest of your life, however.

I was on Xolair for 2 months before I had breathing problems. I was so exhausted during those 2 months I could barely function the day and the day after my injection. So, I'm not on it anymore.

High IGE, multiple severe allergies

if there are allergies to something in the air, a quality hepa air purifier can really make a difference. all are not created equal and it's worth doing some research, but it could really make a difference.

there are some good reviews there
if he has serious issues, the best one (say independent tests, scientists, experts, etc) seems to be the iqair healthpro

but its not cheap.
hope that helps

He needs to go to an allergist and have desensitization shots.
