Well...that is very small, and to be honest with you? Your scar will actually look more noticeable than your birthmark does now.I think so anyways. But,it's your body, and you do as you wish with it.And,just to let you know? Most girls like a guy with a birthmark...they think it's 'cute'..but with a scar? Girls don't find that so attractive....just saying what I see as the truth.Personally? I think you should leave well enough alone..keep your birthmark...girls with think your 'soooo cute' with it.Or guys..either way...My opinion.Good luck either way.

Oops..Sorry...your a girl.But..either way.I say keep it.I'm a woman, and I would much rather have a birthmark than a scar.A scar is permanent...as is a birthmark. But,either way,the choice is yours.I have a c-section scar..I had 3 c-sections all in the same place, and it looks awful.I hate it!! I can easily cover it wearing a bikini, and yes I'm very physically fit. But,I'd much rather have a birthmark there instead of this scar. That's for sure.Good luck to you,and I hope your decision is best for you. It's your body and you do with your own body as you see fit.Take care.

I have a pear shaped dark birthmark on my forearm and have always wished my parents would have had it removed when I was a baby! As a child, I was asked if I wanted to have it removed, but I was afraid. Also, I was told that they would have to graft skin from my buttocks to cover it. Good grief, then I would have a scar on my butt and a scar on my arm! No thanks. I taught for several years, and when the kids would ask me what that was on my arm (about 2 inches in size) I would say, "Well, that's a birthmark. Do you have a birthmark?" And they would sometimes say no. Then I would say, "You don't have a birthmark??? Then you must have been hatched!" It always got a laugh and after that, they didn't care about it. Keep your birthmark. It will be a part of you.

I have a larger birthmark on my thigh that used to be a big deal when I was younger. I begged my parents to let me get it removed. I actually did try and get lazer treatment to get it removed. The test patch they did proved unsuccessful. I wish I just left it alone, because the scar that it left is uglier than the birthmark itself. In a way, I am glad that I tried it though because I know I am stuck with the birthmark no matter what. It was a big deal when I was younger because I swam lots and lots of kids would see my birth mark. Now that I am an adult, nobody even says anything about stuff like that anymore. Even if I swim or am out swimming. I also have met lots and lots of adults and children with birthmarks just like mine. You are not the only one with a birthmark. Lots and lots of people have them. My little neighbor has a twin birthmark to me, and my other neighbor has one covering her entire face. Birthmarks are not bad! They are sort of neat!

You need to think about what knocks your confidence more. Imagine you're in a bikini in front of the person you fancy - would you be more embarrassed if he saw a birthmark or a scar?

Although because it's your stomach, no one will really see it that much anyway. If it were on your face or something that'd be different.

I have a birthmark on my butt but you can see it when I wear a bikini. It is so strange it isn't just a weird shape and plain I always call it a "code" on my butt because there are spaces between it and it looks like a # then an upside down 7 then a flower and then another #. I get many questions but it makes me unique. I say keep it!
