The condom popped but he didn't come inside of me, can I possibly have hiv?!

Question: The condom popped but he didn't come inside of me, can I possibly have hiv?
I had sex with a guy last night I haven't known long. The condom popped and he pulled out quickly. I then saw the sperm coming out of him. He said he is positive no sperm got in me because he felt it pop and after a few strokes he was sure it did and he pulled out and that's when he started coming. When I used to have unprotected sex with my son's father, whenever he came in me. Sperm would come out right away, even sometimes the next day. So I do believe that he might could have been honest about that.
He said he never has pre *** and I heard some men don't. I was just checked for hiv last month and I was negative. He grilled me so hard about it that it made me feel a little better because of how paranoid he was acting as if I might have something. I haven't been seeing anyone else and I always use condoms because I am a paranoid person when it comes to stds/hiv. I hear so many mixed views on the matter but my questions are:

1. Can you get hiv from pre-***?
2. Is it possible that if he did get just a tad bit of sperm in me that I wouldn't know because some might not come out of me? ( hope that makes sense)
3. are there any early detection methods or home tests you can take right away?
4. How safe and reliable is Pep? I hear a lot of bad side effects come along with it. Does it really work?
5. Do you think I will be okay and just overreacting?
Please help, thanks

yes its proven you can get HIV from pre ejaculate
Yes it is proven that if he got a bit of sperm inside you you wouldnt know it
Since he was so scared that you might have something I bet the guy is clean because he uses a condom and he got so scared when it broke and you told him you were just tested a month ago so I DO think you will be ok and are over reacting. Hey I was always super paranoid of hiv/std's and like I say Id rather be super paranoid then super stupid. Ps the chances of you being pregnant from what *may* have been a *tad bit* of sperm>? Is about 2%. ALSO BRAVO for using a condom AND for being with a guy that is ALSO super conscience of health matters! I wish you all the best and stay as smart as you are!!

1. YUP
2.Sperm stay in there for as long as they want, and come out when they want
3.no
4. uhhh
5. No you won't be okay if he has any STDs or HIV! get tested in 3 months thats all you can do

not sure

1. You can get HIV from pre-ejaculate.
2. It's more than possible that some semen go into you, the only time it tends to come back out is when there is a lot of it.
3. The earliest you can get tested is 28 days later using an HIV DNA PCR test, other than that you need to wait 3 months to have a standard test done.
4. PEP has been proven to decrease your chances of contracting HIV but needs to be started immediately. As for the side effects, any side effect would be worth not having HIV.
5. You are probably overreacting, but it's always better to be worried than it is to be careless. Get tested for peace of mind.

1. He would have to have the virus to give it to you; if he does not have HIV, there is no way to give it to you; but yes, you can get HOV with out having full ejaculation.
2. He has absolutely no way of knowing if he had sperm leak out of not. There is plenty of sperm in pre-ejaculate.
3. You have to wait to be tested, the virus, if present has to trigger a response.
4. PEP-yes
5. You will more than likely be fine (although I would worry about pregnancy more); like I said, someone has to have the HIV virus to infect others.
