I'm 21, could I be at risk for a heart attack?!

Question: I'm 21, could I be at risk for a heart attack?
I'm 21 and a half, moderate smoker. I have high-normal blood pressure, healthy weight range. I've been having a pain on the right side of my chest for a few days. I've had it before and it went away, but I'm kind of nervous. What are the chances that an otherwise (besides the smoking) healthy 21 year could have a heart attack?

Just because you are at a healthy weight doesn't mean you won't have a heart attack, neither will your age. A heart attack is caused from a plaque blockage so if you don't eat healthy then you can be a risk. If you have chest pain that persists for more than 5 minutes straight, not off and on, then go to the hospital asap.

at your age chances may not be high, however it also depends if any of your relatives had problems with heart. because you smoke the possibility of heart attack is higher but i doubt it at you age though. you should call up a doc and get an appointment, tests and all that will give you an answer for your problems. good luck.

yea no matter how old you are, you can get a heart attack, my friend is 16 and he had a miner heart attack.
