Question: I have Lice, Please help!!!:'((?
Long story short,I came home my mom checked and my other cousin was staying. I gave them lice(sadly) and my cousin gave my hair Accessories. My mom made me throw out the tie thing because there was a rip in it and found lice in it(gross!) So a few weeks/month ago I tried on the headband she gave me,being stupid and then quickly took it off. It's about a month now, and I've had little white dots in my hair
It was dandruff I think,since my hair NEVER itched. I told my friend what the white dots were and she said it might be dandruff or lice.Ever since she said that(few days ago) i've been itching my head now :/ I'm in denial,than I believe I have it and now I'm positive I have it!!
I hate the thought of bugs in my hair,it's so gross and I HATE bugs!This morning my mom was telling me how she remembers I had lice and If I had it,she would be mad. So now I'm afraid to check,and if I see one I'll probably freak and be scared to wash my hair! And That was a few days ago and I heard they multiply like crazy so I'm really scared!
So what can I do without my parents knowing?
Does blow drying hair cold help get rid of it?
Sorry it's so long,I'm about to break down and cry because I realllyy hate lice!!And I don't want to spread it, because I know how bad it is to get lice,so please help?!?!

I am really sorry to hear about your situation. I know it can be scary to have your parents mad at you. I remember I was young once. I also had lice a couple times when I was young like you. Once my aunt helped me out and got me the special shampoo for lice and that got rid of it. I did have to make sure and wash all of my clothes and bedding that had lice on it so that it wouldn't come back. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do on your own. blow-drying probably wont make much a difference and may actually irritate your scalp which creates a good environment for them and makes your head itch more. Do you have a family member that can help you out without having to let your parents know about it? You may have to tell your parents but even though they will be mad that will pass. You need a special lice shampoo and comb to get them outof your hair once they're dead. Change and wash all linens in special shampoo, change brushes, etc. They are very hard to get rid of and some girls half to cut their hair.
