What would be the procedure in this case?!

Question: What would be the procedure in this case?
Before you guys think I'm sadistic or something, this is all for a story! Don't worry!

Imagine if a young boy - say, four years old - had a severe allergy to peanuts, and his mother fed him...I don't know, peanut butter or something. She was obviously unaware of the allergy. The plan is for him to die from the allergy, but I want to ensure that I write it out properly.

Obviously, the mother would call emergency services. From there, what would happen? Would it be more realistic for him to die immediately at home or, say, in the ambulance on the way there?

Thank you for your help!

(Oh, and sorry if I post this in the wrong category...I'm rarely outside of B&A, haha)

Answers:

Lol, you do sound kind of sadistic :P And I sound like a stalker, for that matter. It's Contacts Q&A... trust me. :D

Anyway here's some stuff I found - http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_you_die_of…

From Wikipedia:
The most severe peanut allergies can result in anaphylaxis,[3] an emergency situation requiring immediate attention and treatment with epinephrine.

Symptoms of peanut allergy are related to the action of Immunoglobulin E (IgE) and other anaphylatoxins, which act to release histamine and other mediator substances from mast cells (degranulation). In addition to other effects, histamine induces vasodilation of arterioles and constriction of bronchioles in the lungs, also known as bronchospasm (constriction of the airways).

Symptoms can include the following:[4]

* vomiting
* diarrhea
* urticaria (hives)
* angioedema (swelling of the lips, face, throat and skin)
* acute abdominal pain
* exacerbation of atopic eczema
* asthma
* anaphylactic shock

And here's for anaphylactic shock:

Hope you find something useful. :P

EDIT - I wonder what it's like having a mother as a nurse :o Good luck with your story, though, poor little boy :P

I saw your first question and went, 0.0 WTH KITTY!!!!! And now I see this and go, KITTYYYYY!!!!!!!!! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?
Jk, but the first question I had a face that as similar to 0_0 or X_X
My friend is severely allergic to milk. If she drinks it, she says that she'll go under a severe allergic reaction (duh) and we have to call the ambulance immediately. It's a pretty slow and painful death, she explains it as sort of drowning, or suffocation. This happens when she has had only a little bit of milk and then imagine if she were to actually die from it. So yes, in the ambulance he would probably die although they would give him a lot of those shots.

Edit: Actually...Just go with Seal. They know what they're talking about XD
