On July 11th, 1997, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced the first case of probable transmission of HIV through kissing.
According to experts, you can get HIV from a kiss only if both have history of gum disease and your partner have HIV.

This is a great resource for you to look at. It goes into a lot of detail but is explained simply. You can go ahead and call their hotline to talk with a real specialist about your situation. I would say off the bat that it is HIGHLY unlikely, however, the presence of blood does make it possible.
It is possible to have a relationship with a person that has AIDS, it requires patience, and a tremendous amount of education. They can help you if you are interested in obtaining that information.
Best of luck to you.

Highly unlikely, but, if you have a break in the skin in your mouth, the virus can be transmitted that way. If you see blood ANYWHERE on someone ... stay away from it!!
