Why is it hard for me to breathe at night?!

Question: Why is it hard for me to breathe at night?
I'm only 16, I'm not overweight, and I don't THINK I have asthma. When I wake up in the middle of the night I can't take deep breaths and my chest seems tight. My heart also beats hard but not fast, and often skips a beat. What could this be?

Answers:

could be several things, sleep apnea, anxiety, high blood pressure, you should definitely talk to a doctor as soon as you can.

Sounds like Sleep Apnia. You should get it checked out either way. My aunt actually died from a combination of narcolepsy and sleep apnia, it can sometimes be a serious problem.

It seems to be Sleep apnea. and for this you should have check ups until it is over otherwise you may loose you life too.

Sleep apnea is the most probable.

It is either sleep apnea, or it is asthma. They both cause these symptoms.

its because your mouth will be resting then inside it will close a bit
