Boots/ Superdrug sell diabetic sweets.
I'm a diabetic.
if you really want sweets ,eat them , if you follow the DAFNE principle of 10 carbs = 1 unit of insulin, you can have mars bars etc any chocolates that tell you the carbs in a bar , so if a mars bar has 40 carbs take 4 units of quick acting insulin,
if not done a DAFNE (dose adjustment for normal eating) see your doc and get on one ,will help you alot, next thing you can get a pump!
insulin dependant diabetic with pump,
Be aware that these are sweetened with sugar alcohols which are laxatives. Take with extreme care.
I like to have regular candies, but have just one instead of the 2 or more that are a serving.
I have heard the better stores have the sugar free junk in them.
thorontons have diabetic turkish delights and caramel bars they are delicious but a bit expensive, fine for a treat, also have small bags of mixed diabetic chocolates. i got some diabetic vanilla icecream from tescos today lovely it was .
Try Boots or one of the pharmaceutical chains. I would be surprised if Tesco, Salisbury, Morrison's etc. did not sell them but they will possibly be near the medicines rather than sweets.
Health food shops would I am sure sell them
chemists sell them ,supermarkets sell them in the toiletries aisle ,not sweet aisle
