How to get rid of a cold faster?!

Question: How to get rid of a cold faster?
OK I have a cold...it may be flu but I think it's more likely to fall into the Manflu category...

I'm taking medecines to attack the symptoms, but any other tips to help me shake it quicker would be much appreciated!

Merci!

Get over-the-counter medication. Talk with the drug store pharmacist and consult with your health care provider. Choose medications that address your specific symptoms. Read all labeling instructions and take each medication as directed.

Drink orange juice or take vitamin C. A great way to quickly combat a cold is to boost your immune system. This helps your body fight the infection so that you can begin to feel better. Drink several glasses of orange juice throughout the day or take vitamin C. Consult a pharmacist or your health care provider for dosing instructions regarding vitamin C.

Increase your water intake. Water and fruits that contain water are perfect because they cleanse the body, which can help remove bacteria and toxins. Toxins can contribute to a cold, and the sooner they're out of your body, the more quickly you can recover.

Zinc lozenges help, as does vitamin c and NAC or N-acetyl cysteine.

Of course drink lots of water. Use ibuprofen for fever. And if you feel lethargic or sleepy, rest and sleep! Your body is telling you what it needs, and getting active before you're well enough can prolong the whole event.

If you don't have aches, it's probably a cold rather than flu.

Nasal saline solution, or a humidifier, can help with comfort. Hot showers also help clear congestion.

we would make a fortune. fact is, zinc or anything is as good as chicken noodle soup. i take vitamin c. the difference is like 20 minutes longer between doing nothing and doing anything.
