Not sure what's causing my chest pains..?!
Question: Not sure what's causing my chest pains..?
Saw my doctor about it and he thinks I'm getting chest pains or maybe minor panic attacks from stress but to be honest I'm not all that stressed. Anything else it could be?

If you are young and are not ill with any cold symptoms, this is more than likely muscular in origin and taking some motrin regularly for a few days may make this go away. It is possible you are doing something repetitive with your arms - lifting, exercise, work-related things that have inflamed the muscles of your chest and certain movements/positions sets off this pain response. You can go to WebMd.com and type in costochondritis and read up on this condition and see if your symptoms match and follow some of the advice given there. This would be one possible cause of this pain in a younger person.

The possibilities for chest pain are endless. Did you have any trauma recently? It could be a pneumothorax. You can even get a spontaneous pneumo sometimes.
Go to another doc for a second opinion or atleast someone who is willing to investigate this further.
Atleast an x-ray would be nice...
go back to the doctors for a second opinion or get yourself checked out at hospital
