I've got an eating disorder , but my family only pressure me to get '&!

Question: I've got an eating disorder , but my family only pressure me to get ''well'' ?
Ok , finally , after two years of denial , constantly hiding from others and myself , escaping the truth , i've admitted to myself that i'd indeed suffer from anorexia . I know that i should seek treatment

but

My family doesn't show any support at all . I understand that my mother is worried sick for me , and my brother too . But all they keep on doing is forcing me to eat and making me feel much , MUCH worse about myself , and about hurting them . My father doesn't even CARE . He hears them scream at me and everything , he by now , knows that i suffer from anorexia , but he doesn't even talk to me .

Yesterday i finally picked up the courage to talk to my mother about this , she refused to understand that this is a SERIOUS sickness , she kept on telling me to be strong and get ''well'' . She always turned the conversation against herself , that she was strong and that i should also be that . But she doesn't understand ANYTHING i'm going through . She keeps on ignoring me and my sickness . And it's secretly killing me inside

MY brother keeps on showing me pictures of people that suffers from anorexia , he reminds me constantly about it . I've tried to speak to him , but he doesn't listen and he refuses to re-search about it . as does my mother .

They make me feel like hell and i'm always under such a pressure that it feels like i'm in-caged .

I also suffer from a Mayor Depression and OCD . They don't make it any better , and sometimes it feels like i won't be able to make it anymore . I just can't take it .

They don't understand , i promise , it's so much worse in reality

i just need help , do i ask for to much of them ?

Please help me

You don't ask too much of them at all. To just show them the true reality of what your going through go to the doctors and they can wither tell your family members or if they are not willing have your doctor write a note and have your family read it. If they refuse to read it read it to them during dinner there will be no way they cannot listen. Let them know that they are making things
Worse and that you need their support not foe them to just say get well and that that won't help you.

I think you would really get alot of good out of a phsycologist it will give you the chances to talk to someone and have them listen I think that would really help you.

I hope you can recover fully I believe you can but I also beliee that you need support to do so. Let that been known.

Their actions come from their concern about your condition, knowing that you could die any time from this condition so you need to give them some slack. Since this has been going on for at least 2 years, their frustration level is extremely high with you. Next, you need to ask for an appointment with your family doctor for a complete physical to determine what metabolic imbalances might be present and get that fixed first. No parent needs to be in the room with you for this visit. He can also start you on an anti-depressant medication which will improve your coping abilities but these meds take an average of 12 weeks to be fully effective - that is why your family doctor needs to get you started on these as soon as possible. Then, you need to ask for a referral to a psychiatrist or psychologist who specializes in the treatment of people with anorexia and who will then manage your medications along with counseling which will make your life so much better. You cannot do this alone and you need to reach out for help to the right people. And, once your family sees that you are now willing to get treatment for this, their whole attitude may change into a more supportive role. You can die from this - that is why you need treatment for this immediately. Otherwise, it becomes a lifetime of despair as your condition gets worse and worse until you die. You can also go to WebMd.com and type in anorexia and read up on your condition so that you know what other things you might be able to do at home to help your body recover.
