need help regarding blood clots?!

Question: Need help regarding blood clots?
I have a phobia about getting a blood clot and dieing. I just read this story at my work about a 15 year old girl falling off her bike and getting a fracture and a blood clot and having a stroke. I've. Had this phobia since I was pregnant almost two years ago and I can't seem to shake it . I've had d dimer blood test ultrasounds on my legs and physical and I've never had one. I'm 22 no medical problems ect. Should I worry? In most cases would there be symptoms of a blood clot. I feel like a lot of people are unaware of the symptoms so that's why they don't get into the hospitalin time. Please help my worrying brain

The high school kid should not be giving advice here!
A young healthy individual should not develop a deep venous thrombosis (DVT). There are risks factors which increase the chances of developing a clot. These include: pregnancy, birth control pills, fractures, cancer, certain blood disorders, prolonged immobility
If you do not have any of these risk factors it would be highly impossible to develop a clot.
Most people will develop symptoms although they are not specific. Symptoms include swelling, pain, redness of the calf. If you have these symptom it would be appropriate to see a doctor.
Otherwise you should not stress about this. DVT is not common in healthy individuals.

dont worry... it can happen to anyone at anytime. a blood clot is formed when a blood cell ruptures... and therefore cant happen just by hurting urself.... its like cancer... one cell goes bad and forms a tumor... all a clot is is a ruptures cell that can build up a few cells and it travels in ur bloodstream. it can happen just as cancer can happen... although cancer has many risks like smoking that increases it... clots do not (as far as i know)...

im in Biology in hischool and we're goin over this kinda crap

U will be fine
