Question: I have had a real bad sore throat for a week. Never had sore throats like this in the past, and I am freaking?
out. Is it something serious? It's hard to swallow. I take lozenges and ibuprofen, they help but only temporary. Im seeing a doctor but want to know what it could be.

could be strep throat best go to medical doctor get rapid strep test untreated strep throat can lead to heart damage and kidney damage
yu should go to an ears nose and throat doctor, it may be serious if yu havemt had such symptoms before, in the meantime dont stress about it, you will only worry yourself more then you need to.
