Question: How long does it take to get a doctors appt in the U.S.?
I was just wondering how long it takes from the time you call the office to when you actually get to see the doctor? Also, how much does a regular visit usually cost? thanks

It depends on if you are making an appointment with a specialist or a GP, if you have an established patient and how critical it is. I’ve called my doctor and got in within 2 hours. A specialist will typically take 2 weeks. Initial visits are the most expensive and can run from $80 to over $200. Doctors I know at a teaching hospital I work for charge $1,000 for an initial consultation.

NOTE: The US is very large and a lot depends on where in the US you are going. I am in Los Angeles where everything is expensive.

I am a cancer registrar.

Most of the time it will be the next day.
Price will very by doctor type, howling it takes, about $60 last time I went.

MONTHS...If your lucky WEEKS. It depends on how "Popular" the doctor is. I can't get into see mine if my life depended on it.
