Are these the start of a cold sore?!

Question: Are these the start of a cold sore?
Hello. I am coming down sick and last night, I noticed two little red spots on my upper lip/the skin on my upper lip. They appeared after I had a piece of midly greasy pizza. The two spots didn't hurt at all, weren't raised, didn't look like a blister; my lip was not swollen or itchy or painful or anything, all day and when I noticed the two spots. I put on some chap stick and then went to bed. This morning, they seem to be gone, and again, my lip is not swollen, painful, itchy or anything. Could it be that since my lips were chapped, it caused irritation around them? I've never had a cold sore before, and I read that with the first outbreak, you usually show the symptoms of tingling, burning, itchy, painful swollen lip/area, right? And if they are cold sores, they would have gotten worse within a matter of 12 hours or so, right? They wouldn't just go away, then come back? Again, the spots didn't break open or anything. Could it have been the grease on the pizza that maybe caused some irritation? Thank you for you time.
