Answers:

The chances are zero, not very rare, but zero.
Currently the youngest male on record was 24.
You could have a cyst or it could be normal hormonal changes. Tell your mom she will know if you need a doctor.

I am a cancer registrar.

The chances of you developing breast cancer at 14 are very close to zero. In fact, considering the youngest male ever recorded is twenty four, it would be a medical first. Consider the facts from your National Institutes of Health.

Male breast cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the breast.

Breast cancer may occur in men. Men at any age may develop breast cancer, but it is usually detected (found) in men between 60 and 70 years of age. Male breast cancer makes up less than 1% of all cases of breast cancer.

Estimated new cases and deaths from breast cancer (men only) in the United States in 2010:[1]

* New cases: 1,970.
* Deaths: 390.

Consider that 80% of all cases are in men between 60 and 70 years of age. You fall into the bottom of the remaining 20% or about .001% chance of having breast cancer.

More than likely the lump is a cyst or swollen lymph node. Ask your mom or dad to take you the doctor.

ZERO

The young man diagnosed at 24 made international news because not only was the the youngest man ever diagnosed with breast cancer, he was the youngest by several years.

Most of the few men diagnosed with breast cancer are over 60.

Most breast lumps in males are a condition called gynaecomastia; this is a button-like growth under the nipple and areola area that can be felt and is sometimes visible to the naked eye; occasionally it can be quite tender.

This increase in the amount of breast tissue is not a tumour and occurs due to changes in hormone balances at times like adolescence - your age in other words

Talk to your parents about this

It is rare for males to get breast cancer. And as for a 14 year old male, I'd say that's extremely rare. Unheard of, actually. It's most likely a cyst. Regardless of the cause, you should see a doctor to put your mind at ease. Good luck!

That would be very very VERY rare.

You SHOULD see a doctor, but it is about 99% certain that this is a HORMONE problem, and you will outgrow it in a couple of years.

The chances of a 14 yr old boy having cancer is zero.
There may be a cyst present as you are experiencing pain.
Tell your Mom she will make an appointment with the doctor.

extremely rare, but don't be scared--go to your doctor and ask him what it is. it could just be a slightly swollen lymph node.
