How come when i put on earplugs I can hear a slight ringing noise in one ear?!

Question: How come when i put on earplugs I can hear a slight ringing noise in one ear?
I can only hear the sound if i cover my ears, a slight ringing sound, as if electronics were running, in the right ear? I'm not sure what's up with this?

If i have earplugs in i can hear the ringing in my right ear as if the sound were emitting from the ear drum to the outside of the ear.

When i push the ear plug in or put pressure on my ear, then the ringing goes to a higher pitched sound.

Sometimes it's more noticeable than other times, and it's only when i cover my ears with my palms really hard, or put in ear plugs really snug, and it's only from the right ear.

Its starting to make me really nervous, and I can't get into the Doctors until Monday.

Has anyone ever had a slight ringing in their ear before and have it treated? What was it? Did it go away? How can I make it go away?

Thanks, will do best answer and 5 stars

I'm not even 30 yet,

Answers:

Older people almost always have ringing in their ears. Due to many loud noises experienced thru life and the aging of the parts of the inner ear. It's called tinnitus.

The reason younger people are getting it now is overuse of earplug music. They can't do much to get rid of it, but you can. Quit using earbuds, turn down the volume of things you listen to and it should lessen as you are so young.

The doctor will probably put you on some pill, cause they like putting people on pills, but really, you have to "rest" your ears and quit stressing them with loud sounds and earbuds.

you are probably in an early state of tinnitus. Chronically ear ringing, wind noise or beep.
Let your ear rest and try to hold your nostrils tight and blow gently til you get a pop in your ears as the trumpets into the sinuses gets blown open. This can equalize¨the pressure in the ear and maybe help you.

Means you've been listening to it too loudly or for too long.
Just give your ears a break for a couple of days and don't use headphones, maybe listen to music a bit more quietly in the future or for not as an intense amount of time when you're using earphones.
Happenned to me once when I turned up my iPod to block out the sound of the motorway, not a clever idea....
Nothing to worry about, it should go away in by half an hour, if not then consider seeing the doctor.
