Question: I kissed my boyfriend with a cold sore..?
& I didn't know it was actually a cold sore until days after. It's been a couple of weeks, & the healing process is almost over. Its just a little pink now. But he hasn't gotten a cold sore yet. & last night I gave him oral sex. Do you think he could possibly get genital herpes from my little pink spot on my lip? Please help :( serious answers only!

I know that the most contagious stage of a cold sore is the time when it oozes, but its long past that & it's almost gone now. Do you think his body has built up an immunity to the virus since he hasn't gotten a cold sore? (He's also drank from the same glass)

And that's why herpes is so common.

don't worry too much.. a cold sore on your mouth is herpes simplex virus 1 and that particular virus VERY RARELY causes genital herpes because genital herpes is caused by herpes simplex 2. I have attached a link for you to read more about it so you don't freak out:

yes, he is going to get herpes, but the next time you get a cold sore, give him oral sex again so the herpes will cancel out.
