Question: Why do I keep coughing up small white pieces?
Occasionally, these very small white/yellow pieces find their way to the top of my throat and I end up spitting them out. They smell very bad too and I don't have to force them out of my throat, they make their own way up to the top of my throat. Does anybody know what they are and why I keep coughing them up?

Tonsil stones. Nothing to worry about, they're harmless. I suggest that you brush and floss twice a day and use mouthwash. It will kill the bacteria and decrease the frequency of the stones. Also, drink lots of water and decreasing your dairy intake helps also. If they really become a problem, opt to have your tonsils removed.
