My entire body itches "compulsively" to the point where I can't s!
Question: My entire body itches "compulsively" to the point where I can't stop itching, what could this be?
The first thing I think of is allergies of course, but this has been going on for a long time, it's not all the time, it happens by periods, certain times in the day, and certain periods, it's not like every day all the time, but it can happen for a few days during a period of time. I sratch myself until i'm red it's horrific and intolerable, i'm going to see a doctor but I wonder what to expect, could this be serious??

It's most likely either eczema or psoriasis, both of which are quite common and treatable. In some severe cases, people take medication, but usually it can be handled with a cream.
