Should I go to the ER tonight? Or is it nothing?!

Question: Should I go to the ER tonight? Or is it nothing?
I have had a moderate fever (100.0-102.0) for over a week now.I ve taken medicine to try and reduce it but nothing has worked.I had a cold last week and got better. Now, I am coughing a lot.I have to bend my back because coughing hurts it so bad.I also have a stuffy nose and cold chills quite frequently.I can feel the heat coming off my face.I do not have a sore throat.I do however feel dizzy sometimes when walking. Could you please help?

So sorry you are ill. If you feel you are that sick i would go in just to make sure but i would say to myself i have waited this long what is one more night and just go in tomorrow hope you get feeling better real soon

If you have a fever over 100F then you should got to the hospital.

If you have insurance there should be a number Where you can speak to a nurse. They will be able to give better advice.

Typically the rule is 100 fever for a week or 101 for 24 hours or 102 for an hour get medical help.

You could have bronchitis. But the possibility exists that you might have pneumonia. You wouldn't be wrong if you went to ER tonight, but I think you could probably wait until tomorrow. Whatever feels best to you.

sounds like Whooping cough....nothing any doctor can do! but stay home rest and stay away from babies as it can be fatal if they catch it!
(Division 1 nurse)

You have a cold/virus. The ER will not be happy if you turn up there.
