My legs feel weak and my arms and stomach feel fluttery after LP what could I ha!

Question: My legs feel weak and my arms and stomach feel fluttery after LP what could I have gotten?
I had a Lumbar Puncture Friday night, took a shower and forgot I left band aid on. I removed band aid on Saturday and went to work and all was fine minus a headache. Now I still have headaches 3 days later and worse today I woke up with weakness in legs. Now my hands are shaking and legs. Stomach feels queasy and dry mouth. Is it possible I contracted GBS or something else from the procedure?

Answers:

You might have a low blood sugar. Eat something, and if you don't feel better after 10 minutes or so, I would call your physician. If by GBS you mean Guillan Barre, then no, that is not a risk of a lumbar puncture. You don't really 'contract' Guillan Barre so much as develop it. I would contact your physician, who may direct you to an emergency room.
