I suppose you have done tests to verify your insulin levels and have seen a doctor already. There is a condition called "acanthosis nigricans" but this term refers to the appearance that you have and has nothing to do with the underlying cause. It could be that you have another condition that leads to what you see, or on the other hand, you may never find out. Have you seen a dermatologist?
