No - but if it shows eg. that you are anaemic (without an obvious reason), cancer will be one of the things that is checked for.
Depends on who is ordering the blood work and what they are looking for. Each blood test analyzes for specific items as determined by the request since it takes different amounts of blood and different analytical tests to look for the different tests. So in actuality, there is no standard blood test.
One that I know of that they can detect chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Husband was told he has CLL detected by a routine blood test.
