Both of these symptoms can be consistent with either a respiratory or a cardiac problem. With so little history, no past history, family history, smoking or medication history and no examination, there is too little to go on to hazard any sort of diagnosis I am afraid.

There are several things to consider; was this sudden or has it been there for some time? If it is sudden it COULD be your heart but it could be other things as well. A tight chest for me is my body's way of telling me my allergies are really bad or my asthma (I've just learned I had this) is bothering me - or I have a lung infection...all pretty common for me (I live in a place that is cold and there are a lot of weather changes, each time the weather changes I get sick). I have a heart deformation and have to get stuff done all the time (heart workups and tests) and they're really nothing to be concerned about.

Heart attack for your age is possible, but rare.
