Pain the stomach, just while asleep. What is it?!

Question: Pain the stomach, just while asleep. What is it?
I have had a moderate to severe stomach ache that wakes me in the middle of the night, for three to four days, and I can't seem to know what it is. The pain lasts for like 5-15 minutes, then goes away, so I can go back to sleep. But it is really annoying.
I don't think I ate anything bad before that, and it is difficult to diagnose.
I would go to a doctor, but there is really no more information I can give to him/her.
What do you think it could be? Is it a proposed Shingles that will attack in a few days? I had shingles like 2.5 years ago, and before having it, I had throbbing pain in the ear for five days that lasts for 2 seconds only then goes away. Later shingles developed on the skin, and the ear pain went away.
Or is it an inflammation of the appendix?
Or what? it drives me crazy!
Thanks guys

Answers:

Actually a gas attack can feel like that. You feel really sick, or a lot of pain in the stomach for 10-20 minutes, then the gas bubble moves on. Lay on your left side and crack a window. Seriously. Left side. Do not smoke.

And a gas attack could be caused because you have an undiagnosed food allergy. It does not have to happen from common gassy foods like: broccoli, cabbage, burritos, spicy food, bbq sauce, onions, garlic, beans.
