I have a wart on my finger, it's been there for over a year and I am looking to get it removed, but I have cut the top of it off (to smooth it down) I have taken showers with it, I have done all the normal activities you can do and it has not spread, just as long as you do not get any of the seeds from the wart into a cut or wound, then you will be fine.
In response to the original question though, no it will not spread when you take a shower, I have cut the tip of my wart off, and had some cuts on my hands/arms and have not gotten another wart, just treat at as if it was never there. Taking a shower and scrubbing over the wart has no more chance than if you touch it, you have NOTHING to worry about.
Oh, and also if you need any more information, I will be happy to help you out, I know how tedious a wart can be, trust me.
