What are the chances of getting an STD?!

Question: What are the chances of getting an STD?
I'm asking this for a friend:

He sort of had sex (I know that sounds stupid, but basically he didn't go in any more than just the tip, and yes, I know that's technically sex, but that's not what I'm asking) and used a condom, but this girl was sexually active with other men and didn't use protection with these other men.

We don't know if she has an STD or not, but what are the chances of her having one and passing it to him, if he used a condom, didn't go all the way in, and the condom held?

Answers:

The man was completely covered and he will not get an STD. STDs are caused by skin touching skin, or fluid touching skin. (Viruses and bacteria can be carried in the fluid.)

my doctor explained this to me

Low. Even if he hadn't used protection most people don't have untreated STDs. I mean, yes, unprotected sex is dumb. But even if he hadn't used protection, she prob was clean. With protection, there is almost no chance of passing something.

Most STDs are treatable. He should go get tested for peace of mind if he's worried.

Condoms can help protect against STDs, however, they are not 100%. I work for Identigene and we do testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea which are the two most common STDs out there.

You are much higher risk of STDs if you have unprotected sex or have multiple partners. However, if your friend thinks there may be a chance please tell him to get tested. STDs can cause other health issues which it is very important to take care of your sexual health!

I did a chick who was hiv positive via a condom and have had no problems. Had he and she not used a condom the going rate is about 50/50 chance of getting something.
