Fever of Unknown Origin - could it be related to nerve damage?!
Question: Fever of Unknown Origin - could it be related to nerve damage?
So I have to go into the doctor again on Friday to beseen for a FUO. I've had this fever for well over three weeks now. It comes and goes with the use of fever-reducers.
I'm trying to do research on what could possibly be causing such a long lasting fever. We've already ruled out mono, strep, flu, and C. Diff.
I've had nerve damage in my left foot (can't feel a thing) on my big toe. It happened around the same time I got sick. I don't know how it happened, but I definitely can't feel anything in my big toe anymore. Could it possibly be related, and if so - how?

You need to get checked for lyme disease. Lyme disease is a disease that attacks your nervous system. it causes all kinds of nerve problems and symptoms and it also makes you feel flu-ish sick and have fevers
most of the people that get lyme never remember seeing a tick or having a rash so dont believe you have to have those.
get checked for lyme asap!
No, your ill !
