Might I have Appendicitis?!

Question: Might I have Appendicitis?
I have a slight pain on my right side thats been coming and going for about 2 days. I also feel bloated. As a result I ate very little today to clean myself out.. but the pain is still there (sometimes).

I tried pushing on it with my hand to see if it will hurt more but it didn't.

This needs to be checked immediately by specialists... go to emerg... I had mine out two years ago...

check out some sites on the internet... as there is much info available... if the appendix bursts this is life threatening as you can become septic...people do die!!! I was fortunate, in one way, as the month before I had an attack. there was a dreadful case in my city, emergency sent a person home, and sadly this person died... so when I checked, the crews of staff, excelled. The news coverage, and the hospitals regrets, caused many a staff, great sorrow, so I received prompt care and had an operation... the pain increases beforehand, and it is very difficult to ignore! Home remedies such as petol bismo, don't bring relief, trust me, as I tried it all...etc... don't apply heat... either as this is dangerous, heat can cause the birth of a rupture... also, if your appendix is rupturing you need medical help pronto... no delays, no thinking... just go... be safe and well.
If you go to emerg and they sent you home... go back if the pains persist...A fellow I know of, kept being sent home (long weekend), he arrived in time, for the third time to the hospital , the specialist on board saved his life, and His blood counts etc, were so out of whack they had said he would have been dead in another few hours, his appendix had burst... he spent more than a month in the hospital ... recovering as he almost died... the bowel tears and releases all into the body cavity, the bacteria eats you alive... etc... The operation can be easy or difficult. This fellow was almost quartered, as his situation was grave, once the bowels released itself into his body cavity. In his case the bacteria, was rampant due to the neglect of this situation, he went through many internal washings, (hosing away the matter) he then was sown back up, sent to intensive care, and finally was released into regular care in the hospital. The fact that he was young and strong gave him better results, but he did fight for his life. If one gets the care in the beginning, these operations are more simple, as the appendix is removed, with so much less trauma.

I don't mean to scare you but warn you in love, to not delay... God bless you ! Be well..

also, this may be a preliminary set of attacks... On can have many attacks over years before appendectomy is needed ! On occasion I had some small seizures of attacks, over five years, but this last one it went into full blown appendicitis i The trouble is, i would only have painful but so infrequent attacks ~ i never released how serious this can be, mentioned this to my doctor, and he more or less shrugged this off as gas... but once the attacks begins, it does not stop, over the course of hours, it builds, many mistake this for the flu or for gas pains, it is hard to diagnose, but, never the less, if this continues you are a candidate for this..

Check out appendicitis, if you are prone to these attacks, for it is something to watch and educate yourself in...

Best Blessings

A few years ago, I also experienced pain on the right side of my abdomen and I was worried that it might be appendicitis, so I went to the hospital emergency ward.

The doctor asked me whether I had vomitted (which is one of the accompanying common signs of appendicitis). I said no.

The doctor then sent me for x-ray to confirm whether the appendix was swollen. I was sent to a ward to rest and wait for updates.

The following morning, the pain had subsided a little. The doctor came and told me that the x-ray showed the appendix was normal.

So I was discharged, and was given a prescription of some medication for abdominal pain.

I guess there's no harm for you to see a doctor for further advice, as it might be other stomach conditions, even if it turns out not to be appendicitis, and you can get treatment for that particular condition.

I had appendicitis when I was 11 and it was a pain I would never forget... and it didn't even explode! Well, it did, but thank-god I was already under the knife, so I didn't feel it... To my knowledge, appendicitis pain is constant, cause it's caused from an inflamed appendix (think about it, if you sprain you ankle and it swells, the pain isn't just there sometimes!) Try drinking lots of water, get more exercise and increase your fiber, you might just be a little bugged up.. if the pain is still there in 3 days, see a doctor!

If you do in-fact have appendicitis i will be shocked, with Appendicitis the pain isn't going to come and go it is only going to get worse, and you will have a fever to let you know there is an infection. it could be an ovarian cyst, or you could be getting ready to start your menstrual cycle, or it could just be the stomach flu, if it still hurts or is not getting better in a few day then i would see a doctor!

Could be, see a doctor immediately, you don't want that sucker to explode or you will feel the most awful pain you have ever felt in you life

I had my appendix taken out too

Beans, beans, they're good for your...

You know the song.

Appendicitis will lay you out after 2 days.

Eat more fiber.

I'm not a doctor, but I play a lawyer on TV.

No, probably constipated. Drink more water. If it gets worse see a doctor .
