Oral sex while cold sore scabbed over?!

Question: Oral sex while cold sore scabbed over?
I gave my boyfriend oral sex while having my cold sore scabbed over.
It's never been super severe, its always just been one bump on my lip that comes up every few months. It wasn't yellow, it looked like a normal scab, I never get puss in it, just a clear liquid, I ice it down the first day I see it, and at this point the only thing that was there was a scab that would bleed if I picked at it.
To be safe I had him wash thoroughly with soap and water, and take a vitamin C tablet (I heard that does SOMETHING, not entirely sure what), and I barely touched it with the infected lip, BARELY.

Are they're still high chances that he can get it? Any experience? He's kissed me with cold sores before, because he never cared, but I've never done this before. I think.

You can pass a cold sore on while you have any visible signs of it, that includes while it's scabbing or in the healing stages. Cold sores are very contagious until they are no longer visible. You could pass your cold sores onto your partners genitals. Try not to pick at it, that can spread the cold sore to another part of your lips.
Washing it and vitamin C doesn't really do much for cold sores that doesn't help prevent passing them either. Vitamin C is more used for canker sores. Just don't kiss or give oral sex until your cold sore is completely gone.

Immune Glory works really well for herpes. Google it.

Yes, the chances are very high that he might get it. My doc said as long there are no blisters and you can't feel them coming on then it's ok but even if there's just a bump where it will pop up in a few days can very easily spread to another person. But if you've already kissed him with it he probably already has it but doesn't know it. A lot of people have it most of there life and never even know it bc they never break out. I heard only 30% of people actually break out more than once in their life. I got it without even knowing the person was infected and quite honestly i still don't know who i got it from, but they didn't have any severe or mild symptoms that i knew about or noticed.
