Ok well for one, after 6 weeks you may test a false negative because it can take 3 months, even up to 6 months for the virus to show up in blood. Second, when you say exposure, you don't go into detail. Was it oral, intercourse, etc? Was a condom used?
You can. Start taking excellent care of yourself, and take your medications religiously.
Good luck with everything. I'm sure it's very scary right now, waiting to find out. Usually it takes a day or two to get the results. In all likelihood, you're fine. But either way, do some research on how best to take care of yourself and future partners to keep it from spreading. I hope everything works out.
