Question: I have diabetes and curious as too what would cause me to have to get amputations?
i know if i don't take care of it that amputations could be necessary but what causes them?

Basically, it's a combination of factors. We tend to have poor circulation, which means that our wounds heal more slowly, and we have more infections that last longer. A slow healing wound might mean that the tissue dies, rather than heals.
