Is the sun really that bad for your skin?!
Question: Is the sun really that bad for your skin?
It seems to be that the harm of the sun is exagerrated. Some sunscreen commercials tell me to wear their products every day, even if I'm going out to the store for 5 minutes. Surely not wearing sunscreen every time I'm outside for the rest of my life wouldn't cause cancer. If we really needed that much avoidance of sunlight because it was that harmful, wouldn't our body naturally protect us?
Answers:
the trick is to never get a sun burn. sun exposure stimulate the production of melanin in you skin. melanin is the pigment which gives you the tanned look. the production of melanin is your body's way of protecting you from the sun's harmful uva and uvb rays. so some sun is ok..just don't get burned if you do decided to tan do it very very gradually . if you get pink you over did it . if you get red and peel you way over did it. If you burn and peel on more than three occasions in the same area you greatly increase you chances of skin cancer.
