Girls only PLEASE. What is this?!

Question: Girls only PLEASE. What is this?
hi girls,
this is kind of awkward but i am actually really kinda scared, So i missed my period this month and i've had my period for a year or 2 already, and i've never missed a month. but now i did. and now i see this wierd purple-ish lump under the skin of my pubic area. I have no idea what it could be! i'm only 15 years old...could my ovaries be swollen?
when i touch it, it doesn't hurt but its hard. and sometimes theres liquid coming out of it!! and i know it sounds gross but i don't know what it is!!! please help.
I have not had sex, or anything like that, i just missed a period and now i've noticed this lump on my right side of my pubic area...i'm really scared.
i don't have a mother in the house to ask, i only have a dad and a brother. and i really don't want to show my dad.

I've honestly never heard of anything like that. If no one else can give you an answer here then I suggest you talk to a woman you trust and its probably best that you see a doctor just so you know what's going on and hopefully put your mind at ease.

You may need to see a physician. Ask your father to take you to a gynecologist or your private care practitioner. Things like this usually aren't a problem, but you dont want time to turn a little lump into a spreading red spot. Take care of it quick and make sure to tell your doctor that you don't want your father knowing about it. Good luck.

Let me just tell you this your ovaries are too far in for them to swell and only make a lump in your pubic area

This ofcourse you'll learn in health

But you should see your doctor make sure it's private(no dad or brother) since you don't want to show theM

i would tell your dad and ask if he can call a docter but tell your dad u dont want to show it to him it

i advise you to go to your doctor and book an appointment straight away xx

More than likely, the lump you see is a small cyst or an infected hair follicle. Don't touch it or try to pop it, you will just make it hurt and possibly make it become infected. It will probably go away in time by itself. If it gets bigger or causes you pain, you should have a gynecologist look at it so she can treat it, if needed, without making it worse. I seriously doubt it has anything to do with missing your period.
At fifteen, you really need a female figure you can trust to talk about all the changes your body is going through. I suggest talking to your family doctor (or nurse practitioner, if your doctor is male and you're uncomfortable) about referring you to a female gynecologist. She can answer all your questions, give you advice, and make sure your female health needs are taken care of. If you have a friend whose mother or older sister you feel close to, then you could ask them for advice, too. Good luck and stop worrying, you will be fine!
